Guided Tour
Ishtar was guided when she first came to this land to consider herself as part of the Eco system in any decisions that she made whilst she was a Guardian of the land.
As a result the majority of the land is in the process of Rewilding and many diverse plants, birds and insects are returning. We are planting native trees and plants.

We have created a small food forest with fruit and nut trees to shade the vegetable and medicinal garden.

The farm animals and birds are part of this system in grazing and fertilizing as they wander the land. And their manure has supported us to create an organic garden.

Ishtar has been living off grid in Portugal for over 10 years. The house is completely off grid and relies on Solar and Wind power for electric. Spring water is collected from the land and heated by solar or a wood burner to provide hot water and heating in each room. Dry compost toilets and Vermicomposting systems are in place.

Guided tours are possible for a financial exchange as Ishtar has a wealth of experience, knowledge and local contacts to support you to experience this lifestyle in Portugal.
